Bespectacled, rotund, bald-headed American nightclub and TV comic whose forte was the art of insult, and in comparison to whom his putative imitator, Don Rickles, would have seemed kindly.The abrasive comedian often opened his act with the line, "Good evening, opponents!"One of Frank Sinatra's favorite comedians, Jack double-billed occasionally with Frank Sinatra Jr..A frequent guest on the "The Ed Sullivan Show" (1948).
